after winning kims first christmas card challenge over on trimcraft i was to set the theme for the third challenge.
i decided on recycling and boy did i have fun with a very simple card but did it give me a headache. first i used stiff clear plastic sheet from some packaging luckily it was around a4 size and after cutting the edges off i got two sheets, used my now broken trimmer to cut out squares avoiding the scratched bits lol.
i then got one piece and embossed it with the craft too baubles folder, on the debossed side i originally coloured the baubles using my promarkers but didnt like the effect so off it came with a bit of hot water and washing liquid,
a quick rummage and i found my glass paints, so after a few false starts i got going, after each bauble was painted before paint dried i sprinkled with glitter, i then painted surrounding area with pva glue and randomly scattered the mixed excess glitter all over.
although it still needs the sentiment and the ribbon on the edges they are in larder underneath the mound of stash i have got.
but here is the almost finished card, oh it was also mounted onto card that i originally had a decoupage image on but found something had gone wrong so dismantled it,
i have got a few more squares of this plastick left so watch out for some more creations like this, as although its messy and time consuming its great fun. they can only get better lol, i did assemble this still slightly damp hence the in real life slight faults but hugely visible after being scanned lol
