oops oh dear what was i thinking

i am happy to show my mistakes as well as the cards i make that im happy with,

cant believe i thought this would work needless to say it will be some how recycled, can only say i was sooo eager to use the new belinda stamps from the crafty pad i did not stop and look at what i was doing, stamping and mounting in the kitchen where the lighting gives me no shadows and the card assembly in lounge where the lighting is not soo good and i work in my own shadow, and i guess chatting on yahoo and watching gordon ramseys kitchens from hell are not a good combo, just like this card lesson learnt
have to say these stamps are brill, stamp great and super service from crafty pad, off to colour the other stamps in now lol, lets see what other mistakes i make grrrr

Is it really that bad, Sam?

You could always try to replace the second layer on the card with a white one and that might potentially make it stand out a little more. Or white with a very slight lilac motiv on it. Just to give a little more contrast. But even this works. Don't be too critical of yourself.

Love,

Jo.

Tracy, i really can't see where you are saying its wrong. Ok the mats culd have been straighetr, but then you caould say you placed them like that on purpose, the shading on the hat may be slightly wrong, but I havent a clue on shading..with me that is hit and miss, but it s alovely card. i would be happy to receive it. i love the colour too. As jo has said dont be so critical of yourself. I make many cards I'm not happy with but others have loved them.
Also as you have scanned the card rather than take a photos it doesnt show any depth to the card. Must admit I am not a fan of scanning anything unless you have a 3D scanner...which I dont even think are available. scanning makes the crads look rather flat and doesnt show them at their best.
Dont pull the card apart, if you arent happy just make another, then you could compare the two afterwards.
looking forwrad to you joining in the CP challenges. i do agree they are lovely stamps.. i only have the one so far of Belinda and teh just Ted stamps. i think i will buy some more belinda ones and may be the butterflies, but at the mo i have plenty to keep me going.
chat soon
hugs rozzy xx

thank you for all your comments and ideas.
i ended up using a gold peel off edging on both layers and repainting the hat, the shading wasnt so visible in reality, my youngest daughter Hollie used it for her best freinds birthday, whos verdict was, "i love it" so im happy shes happy.
